It’s been reported today that Alex Polizzi, who is of course famous as The Hotel Inspector, has been lured away from Channel 5 by the BBC who want her to present a show on the channel.

The Sun reports that Alex will “front a Gordon Ramsay-style series” in which she’ll help turn around the fortunes of ailing family businesses.

As viewers of The Hotel Inspector will know, Alex is part of the famous Forte family who of course own hotels all over the world.

The new series, to be entitled, Alex Polizzi: Business In The Blood, will see her taking on a different failing family firm each week, and as more than 75% of UK business are run by families, there should be no shortage of businesses for her to help out.

A BBC insider said, “We’ve lined up some really emotional situations for Alex to deal with.”
