The Inbetweeners: Simon Bird gets heckled in the street
The Inbetweeners star Simon Bird has admitted that fans often shout insults at him when he goes out in public.
The 26 year old actor, who is currently working on a big screen version of the hit E$ BAFTA winning comedy, told The Sun’s Buzz Magazine that he doesn’t mind the heckling, because it’s all “affectionate abuse.” Bird said:
“People shout a lot of insults at me because they’re quotes from The Inbetweeners. I get called ‘briefcase w*****’, ‘bus w*****’ and sometimes just plain ‘w*****’. It’s always done in such a nice way that I don’t mind – I like to think it’s all affectionate abuse.”
And he’s not a one trick pony. As well as being a pretty fantastic actor, Simon is actually an accomplished musician as well. He admitted:
“I got to the final grades in violin and piano. I still fiddle occasionally. I enjoy Vivaldi, a spot of Beethoven and a tasted if Bartok. I once read on my Wikipedia page that I played concertos with the London Symphony Orchestra – I definitely didn’t.”
