The Coming of Age: Life Begins at 60 series continues as architect George Clarke takes on one of his biggest challenges yet, seeking to transform the tired, neglected Abbeyfield residential care home into a beautiful place worthy of its 12 charming occupants. Aged between 78 and 94, Abbeyfield’s residents are very much alive and kicking, and would love a living space that reflects their verve for life; rather than the drab and dreary interiors they are used to. Can George Clarke create a home that captures the spirit of this eclectic group of people, while remaining practical and functional?
