The Sex Education Show: Stop Pimping Our Kids

Episode 1- Tues 19 April 9pm Channel 4

The Sex Education Show returns for a new series across three nights this week fronted by Anna Richardson, taking its own unique brand of sex education to schools up and down the UK.

Anna also launches a major campaign against the sexualisation of children: Stop Pimping Our Kids!

From sexualised clothing for children and explicit magazines displayed on lower shelves in newsagents to provocative music videos routinely screened well before the watershed – Anna sets out to confront the big businesses who are contributing to the sexualisation of kids and campaigning for change.

Tonight the programme tackles high street giant Primark over children’s clothing that transforms kids into sexualised mini adults, and we’ll be taking Matalan to task over their decision to keep stocking padded bras in the children’s section.

It takes a look at what kids actually think of padded bras at a pamper party, where little girls get fake tattoos and drink fake champagne; and Anna receive a frosty reception from clothing store security guards when she attempts to present them with an award for inappropriate kids’ clothing.

Anna and our sexual health expert Dr Radha Modgil are also back on tour in the nation’s schools with the Sex Education Roadshow and they’ll be answering hundreds of questions from the nation’s teenagers about sex.

With fully interactive anatomy classes, they will be looking at the male body in the biggest age range ever of nude models – from 18 to 70 as we reveal how the body changes from boy to man.

Anna will be undoing the damage done by the playground rumour mill in our myth-busting workshop; seeing condoms tested to their safety limits; and there’s a parents evening with a difference with a surprise family get together to find out how the rules on dating have transformed in a generation. And there’s a second surprise in store when the grandparents arrive!
