DR Chris Steele, This Morning’s trusted and respected GP has shockingly uncovered a serious personal health issue, during recent tests for a brand new medical item on the show. Dr Chris was stunned to discover he is suffering from advanced heart disease after volunteering to undergo tests from a scanner which produces 3D images of the heart. He has decided to go public on his experiences to help other potential victims of this silent disease.

DR CHRIS STEELE has been the trusted GP for top daytime programme This Morning, since the show’s launch almost 20 years ago. Throughout the years he has helped viewers understand the latest medical jargon, armed them with information for good personal health and highlighted difficult issues with sensitivity. As heart disease rates rise in the UK, Dr Chris’s latest medical investigation for This Morning saw him volunteer to undergo tests from an electronic scanner which scans through clothing, to provide a detailed internal image of the body.
The scanners enable doctors to intimately detect hardening of the arteries, the key factor of heart disease. Not anticipating the tests would uncover any health issues, Dr Chris was shocked to discover the main artery into his heart was 50% blocked. He subsequently found out that his heart condition was worse then 98% of the UK population, putting him in an
extremely high risk group. Finding out about his condition has enabled Dr Chris to take action. Following his diagnosis he has met with Dr Duncan Dymond, one of the UK’s leading heart specialists, and is managing his condition.
On Wednesday 27th February, Dr Chris will openly discuss his recent medical and emotional journey. Dr Dymond will also join Fern and Phillip on the sofa to reveal what makes us vulnerable to heart disease. The key risk factors for heart disease of blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes are all ‘silent’ conditions and often display no symptoms. Dr Dymond will have practical advice for all viewers on managing a healthy heart and how to avoid the silent killers.

Dear Dr Chris
I emailed when you had the test for your heart & like you was so shocked but you did a hand monitor test last year on This Morning with John Scott & Richard, producer & it was fine, so within months it changed drastically. Was the hand monitor not up to scratch to note any problems?
