Could it be true? Is it too much to hope for? Rumours are circulating that part time This Morning presenters, Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langford, may be facing the axe.

Ruth has to be the most wooden presenter I have ever watched, with the exception of Kelly Brook of course. She and Eamonn may be married but in my view have none of Richard and Judy’s spark. Watching them is infinitely worse than watching paint dry.

The Sun is reporting that Holmes and Langford are fearing that they are about to be sacked from the ITV TV show, mostly because Eamonn is so expensive.

A source said: “Eamonn and Ruth are really worried they are the next stars facing the axe.

“They love presenting the show and have great chemistry on air.

“But Eamonn, in particular, is expensive and he is worried they can no longer afford him.”

The show’s staff are rallying around the pair and offering them their full support.

An insider added: “Everyone wants them to stay – it will be a sad day if they leave.”

It won’t really!
