As fans of This Morning will know, the show’s regular presenters, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, will be taking time off from the show over the summer, and today, ITV have announced who will be the show’s guest hosts in their absence…

And they are, Torchwood actor John Barrowman, TV presenter Kate Thornton, comedian Patrick Kielty and Big Brother’s Bit on the Side host, Emma Willis.

However, Eamonn Holmes and his wife Ruth Langsford will host the show Monday to Thursday, with the guests filling in on Fridays.

Eamonn said of his stint on the show over the next few weeks, “Just because some of the audience go on holiday at this time of year it doesn’t mean their favourite shows should too…

“And if the British summer lives up to its reputation then we’ll have more people indoors watching us than ever before!”

How very true!

Ruth added, “Summer should be a happy time, and we think we’ve got the programme to make it just that.”

Also starring on the show over the summer weeks will be Strictly duo Russell Grant and Flavia Cacace who will be offering “Latino workouts” to help viewers get into shape, while Big Brother host Brian Dowling will present a “Dream Dates” segment in which singletons will look for love.

Britain’s Got More Talent host Stephen Mulhern will showcase the nation’s hidden talents in an End of the Pier feature, while Abbey Clancy will guide viewers as to what’s hot and what’s not in summer fashion.

Finally, other guests across the summer will include TOWIE star Gemma Collins, Britain’s Got Talent’s The Showbears, Rusty Lee and Lisa Faulkner.

This Morning Summer begins on Monday, July 16.
