This Morning is rumoured to be the latest TV show to be hit by ITV cuts and is due to disappear from our TV screens for the duration of the summer months.

The channel usually uses stand-in presenters to replace hosts Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield during the summer.

An ITV source said: “We are looking everywhere to make savings. Daytime programming is going to take a hit.

“The summer period is traditionally very quiet – in the current climate it is perhaps not worth running ‘This Morning’ when it is so quiet.”

The company are said to be considering filling the two-hour ‘This Morning’ show with repeats of drama shows. Please no! Not more Friends reruns!!!
