The Mustangs are a long standing national hockey team with a reputation for being legends in the hockey world. Despite their huge fan base, all is not well and they have been struggling in the league for five years so they decide to buy in a fresh and talented rookie- with money they don’t have! On the outside the team are a united and close pack who will do anything for success and each other (including their wives), but behind the changing room doors, things couldn’t be more different…
Following the death of veteran captain Adam McBride, there are many changes in store for the team and others connected. Gabe McCall, the coach’s son, steps into the Captain’s shoes; Trevor Lemonde is controversially drafted into the team as their new star rookie. McBride’s wife Evelyn and ballet dancing seductress daughter Molly must adjust to a new lifestyle after they discover that Adam has left them penniless due to his not-so-secret drug habit. There also may be more than meets the eye to womaniser Damon Trebuchet, who is not the only one to submit to the sex, scandal and temptations on offer.

Same here, i have been following the series so far but couldnt find any more listings on living. I have done a bit of digging on the net this morning and the only thing i can find is a listing on 19th June 09′ on Living but it is at 2am!?!?!?!?
Maybe it didnt take off and they are taking off primetime?

I love the show also and looked on my tv listings on sky to sky+ it but can’t see it where you said it was showing – any ideas?

Do you think there is any chance of downloading the Canadian series from somewhere? its already been shown over there but only lasted 10 episodes before being axed.

Just as I got hooked on Trophy Wives Living pull the plug.
I thought I had found a good replacement for Lipstick Jungle which was also axed,then what happens that has been pulled. Will we find out what happens to the hot yound ice hockey stars,let me know !

I absolutely loved trophy wives too and emailed the press office at virgin tv who came back to me today to say they are not showing it any more. But I have seen tv listings for it saying its showing 19/6 at 2am. All we can do is now try and get the box sets from somewhere
Did they say why? It’s just buggin me why it’s been taken off. Going to set the sky + for june date but i bet it goes off automatically like the last series link i had.
After thought-Why don’t we all email them and maybe they might see it has a following and at least so the rest of the series.
Hi all, can’t believe this show got cancelled either!!! Been prowling the net looking for answers and have come up with nothing:( Was getting sooooo into it and then they pull the plug and put on REPEATS! What’s the point of that? Seemingly in Canada they pulled it after the first season (at least they got to see that much)! Hopefully we get some answers soon:)
They shouldn’t be able to get away with this, showing 4 episodes and not the rest of the series. It’s like a book shop selling a book with the final few chapters torn out, buyers would be going back demanding refunds. If they don’t show us the remaining episodes then I for one will be cancelling my direct debit to Sky and suggest everyone else does the same to make a point and let them know they can’t get away with treating their customers like this. If we don’t stand up to them, then what is to stop them doing this in the future with other shows, we could be in the same boat again somewhere down the line watching a new series getting into it and then it’s pulled and we don’t get the end. Come on folks, let’s stand together on this one.
I admire your passion Steven but cancelling your subscription to sky has 2 problems.
1) Your sacrificing a lot of other good programmes.
2) Its not SKYS fault, Its Virgin Media who run/own Living TV and its sub groups.
One question, How have you SKY+ the programme on 19/6 .. My listings wont let me go that far!

I think maybe if we all email in we might get somewhere. Cancelling sky isn’t going to help as jamie said. I also can’t go that far on my planner. Do you have the hd version as i hear that gives you more
Ah, I didn’t realise it was Virgin Media to blame, I assumed as I got the channel as part of my Sky that it was down to Sky. However, I am a Sky customer, the Living channels are supplied to me by Sky as part of the package I pay for, therefore they have a responsibility to their customers in the same way Waterstones or WHSmith would be answerable if they sold books with the final chapters missing (they wouldn’t be able to fob angry customers off with ‘it’s not our fault’, they would have to refund and apologise to customers and then take the issue up with the supplier).
With regards your other point, yes I agree we’d be sacrificing many other programmes, but isn’t that just what Sky and Virgin are counting on that customers will just accept it because they won’t want to lose out on other programmes? If we as customers just accept this sort of treatment then we will without doubt suffer similar again and again. It’s the problem with us brits, too many of us are soft and won’t stand up for ourselves, we just accept things.
I wasn’t overly impressed with Trophy Wives (atleast it wasn’t a patch on the magnificent Heist which ITV gave us half a series of), but I was watching it nevertheless and would’ve liked to have seen the whole series to the end, I feel cheated and feel that I need to make my point so I for one have written to Sky asking if the remaining episodes will be shown or not and if not that I shall be cancelling my subscription with them (there is no point continueing to subscribe because how can we trust any other series, how can we settle into watching any series when there’s the possibility that the show could be pulled at any point?).
Just read on Wikipedia that according to Living TV,the production company have withdrawn the show, probably due to low ratings. Living TV have stated that if enough people contact them then the production company may re-instate the programme. So come on, lets all start emailing Living TV or Virgin.
My missus loved this & has been nagging me to find out what’s occured with it & how to buy it.
looks like we’ll have to get the US version as it’s not on Amazon or Ebay

Steve, If for example a book by JOHN BONE was publised with 5 books, WHSmiths sold these books by JOHN BONE and then JOHN BONE decided he wasn’t releasing the 5th. WHSmiths would have but NO opportunity to tell the people they couldnt have the 5th book?

Jamie, your 5 books thing isn’t a fair comparison. Each book would be the equivalent of a series NOT a single episode, a single episode would be more along the lines of a single chapter of a book. Therefore, what Living/Virgin/Sky etc. have done is the equivalent of selling a book with the final few chapters missing, THAT is what is beyond a joke and YES Sky are at fault and responsible if they are providing the Living channel as part of their packages for which they charge subscribers.

im gutted about the whole thing. I loved trophy wives, i even accused my boyf of deleting the link when it vanished off sky+.

Trophy Wives & Lipstick Jungle is just the tip of the iceberg. It seems that 9 out of 10 shows don’t make it past the 1st season. Gone are the days of Charmed and Star Trek Next Generation which had 7-8 seasons.
Production companies are not customer oriented at all. They only care about massive ratings and if their number drops slightly they immediately cancel. Moonlight was a prime example (to which CBS now half heartedly admit they made a mistake in cancelling). This is the way of TV showbiz.
Production companies have no money at the moment. They can’t afford to produce hardly anything currently. Trophy Wives was cancelled in Canada due to production costs.
It’s a miserable time for us viewers (their so called customers) who will continue to have our favourite programmes yanked rudely out from under us and a new offering shoved under our noses in its place.
You can tell how nervous actors are these days by the way in which they talk in interviews of really hoping for another season in whichever programme they’re in. They know they only have a small chance, no matter how good the show.
I just loved this show (as well as lipstick jungle) why on earth have they removed it from the schedule. Do you think will be a chance of them re-instating the whole of season 1.
