True Blood season 5 spoilers: Christopher Meloni to join cast?

Christopher Meloni is reportedly in talks about joining the cast of True Blood.

The American actor left hit TV show “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” earlier this year and said at the time that he wanted to pursue some new projects. It looks like becoming a vampire may be next on his to do list!

TV Line reports that the star is currently in talks with HOBO bosses, about joining for a ‘major role’ in True Blood’s fifth season next year.

It is claimed that the 50 year old will play a a very powerful, elder vampire. However officials on the horror show have as yet refused to confirm or deny the reports.

If Meloni does land the role, it will be his first major TV appearance since he stepped down as NYPD Detective Elliot Stabler on the NBC police drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. he has also previously starred as inmate Chris Keller on the HBO prison drama Oz.

Earlier this year it was announced that Chris is in negotiations to play a “major role” in the Superman reboot Man of Steel.
