Stephen Moyer has admitted that appearing in vampire drama True Blood, has made him more open to the supernatural.

“I’m not superstitious in a way that I have to turn around three times before I go on set, but I think there’s something ‘other’,” he told MSN.

He explained: “In the last few years I have been much more open than I used to be to the supernatural.

“I’ve done a few dramas now about things like that and it’s made me think about things in a different way.”

True Blood launched on Channel 4 last night to a decent audience of 1.6 million. Having already watched the full series on FX, I’m going to do it all again on terrestrial, for my Bill Compton fix.

“It is amazing,” he gushed. “I don’t think we’ve quite beaten The Sopranos yet, but I think we’re the second biggest show they’ve (HBO) ever had. I think we’ve overtaken Sex And The City with our second season.”
