X Factor’s Tulisa Contostavlos smashes some plates and talks sex tape on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man

It was the interview we were all waiting for, and who better to extract the information about that tape from Tulisa than chatty man himself, Alan Carr?

In her first public appearance since the tape showing her performing a sex act on ex boyfriend, Justin Edwrds, AKA MC Ultra, hit the press, Tulisa stocked up on Dutch courage (four vodka-redbulls to be precise) before opening up to notoriously comical chat show host Alan Carr about the incident.

When the subject was brought up, the N-Dubz singer, and X Factor judge declared: “It’s been torture. I feel like a flipping alien!”

After the tape was leaked, Tulisa went into hiding, sleeping on her bathroom floor in a state of deep depression, before taking to social broadcasting website, YouTube, to release a regretful explanatory statement to her fans.

During this time, the singer admits she thought: “My career could be over and the whole of the UK thinks I’m a slapper,”  telling  Alan Carr her initial reaction was to throw a party, saying:

“I went into denial mode,”

“I went home, called my mates, told them the situation and went, ‘Come on, let’s get p***ed.’ Next day, it hit me.”

Explaining how she felt when she first saw a still from the tape, which Edwards denies leaking despite sources claiming he threatened to do so for publicity, Tulisa said: “My heart just sunk into my feet.”

The current reigning X Factor judge says that she confided in her X Factor producer friend, Beth Hart, recalling: “I said, ‘What’s it gonna do to my career? Is it gonna affect me?’

“And she said she didn’t know. She wasn’t sure. Which frightened me even more.”

The Camden Town beauty, who is due to perform her debut solo single, Young, on Britain’s Got Talent in May, came to the quick conclusion that she was going to have to endure a “rough patch”.

After smashing a few plates on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man show, she added: “I’m feeling depressed and of course I’m gonna have a nervous breakdown.

“But I sat there, did my crying and I haven’t jumped off a building yet.”

Yet despite all the upset and heartache the strong singer has faced in the last few months, she confirmed that none of this has put her off men, saying:  “I’m not gonna judge someone on someone else’s actions.”

And when questioned about her new relationship with Jack O’Connell, she said: “I don’t really feel comfortable talking about it. I’ve never liked talking about romances.

“I’m in a relationship and he’s a very nice guy.”

When asked about the claims from Edwards that the tapes were not leaked by him, Tulisa responded by daring him to release more, saying:  “He’s only shooting himself in the foot.”

“Anyone can see that he’s being a t***.”

It was recently confirmed that Contostavlos will be returning to The X Factor as one of the judges and so far it is known that she wil be joined by Take That star Gary Barlow and old faithful Louis Walsh.

It is not yet known if Kelly Rowland will also be returning to the ITV show.

Judges auditions for the series will start next month, but all this week the show’s mobile audition van is touring the length and breadth of the country, searching for some previously undiscovered talent.
