TV Ratings: Family Guy, The Simpsons, American Dad, Revenge all down on last year, NBC wins the night


NBC regained the title as the number one network last night with an average audience of 15.3 million viewers and a 5.6 demo rating.

Thanks to Sunday Night Football which featured a match-up between the Patriots and the Falcons earned a preliminary 6.7 score in the 8:30-11pm time slot.

On FOX, Family Guy, American Dad, Bob’s Burgers and The Simpsons were all down on last year’s premieres.

Bob’s Burgers managed a 2.1 rating in adults down 19 per cent on last year’s 2.6. Family Guy notched a 2.6 rating, down 21 per cent on last year’s 3.3 and American Dad scored a 2.1 rating down 16 per cent on last year’s 2.5.

The Simpsons had the biggest drop, falling 26 per cent on last year’s 3.8 rating compared to this year’s 2.8.


Over on ABC, Once Upon a Time earned a 2.6 score down 33 per cent from last year’s 3.9. The season premiere of Revenge was also down on last year garnering a 2.4 score among the key demographic, which is down 25 per cent in total from last year’s 3.2, but it is up 41 per cent from the 1.7 score the season two finale managed in May!
