Twitlight actress, Anna Kendrick, desperate for Downton Abbey role!
Twilight actress, Anna Kendrick, has expressed an interest in starring in the hit ITV1 period drama, Downton Abbey!
Kendrick, who played Bella’s friend Jessica Stanley in the phenomenon Twilight series, has revealed that she “dreams” of starring in the epic British drama which has become almost as big in the US as it has here in the UK!
Speaking to the Sun newspaper, Kendrick commented: “I have the most inappropriate fantasies about being on those shows.”
Downton is no stranger to American actors, having cast Elizabeth McGovern as one of the leading roles as Lord Grantham’s American wife, Cora, from the beginning, as well as introducing the legendary Shirley MacLaine as Cora’s mother in the current series.
With Lady Edith still waiting to find Mr Right, there is always the chance of a wedding reappearance from MacLaine, so there could well be a chance for Kendrick to accompany her, maybe as a relative or Ladies Maid!
Meanwhile Kendrick went on to discuss the acclaim she won playing Natalie Keener opposite George Clooney in 2009 film Up In The Air that she lost hair, in which she was nominated for an Oscar. She explained: “I was pretty stressed out.”
