Ugly Betty: Vanessa Williams Defends Lindsay Lohan
Ugly Betty actress, Vanessa Williams has defended starlet, Lindsay Lohan who was reported to have been axed from two epsiodes of the show.
The New York Post stated that Lohan had been lined up to appear in six episodes of Ugly Betty’s new series, but after she was difficult on set and didn’t get on with lead actress America Ferrera her stint was cut down to four shows.
“I had a few scenes with Lindsay,” MSN quote Vanessa as saying. “She was a hard worker, she showed up on time and in the scenes I had with her, she was completely prepared. In terms of me working with Lindsay, she was professional, she knew her lines and she was great with me.”
“That’s what the press does, that’s what gossip’s about, and media is about,” said Vanessa. “We had our welcome to New York Betty party and she was part of the cast that night. The cast took her out for lunch when we were shooting at Central Park at the Boathouse. Even though she did four episodes, I think that people will love to see her, and love her character.”
