Black Sabbath are sure to be celebrating this evening after scoring their first Number 1 UK album in nearly 43 years and setting a new Official Chart record with 13!
After a closely fought battle, the heavy metal legends – frontman Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler, along with Rage Against The Machine drummer Brad Wilk – finished the week a rather apt 13,000 copies ahead of BE by Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye (Number 2).

With any new soap family there are many skeletons unpacked with the good china when moving into town, and the Roscoe’s are apparently no exception!
Fans of the award-winning Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks will know how the Roscoe’s – mum Sandy (Gillian Taylforth) and sons Joe (Ayden Callaghan), Ziggy (Fabrizio Santino), Freddie (Charlie Clapham) and twins Robbie (Charlie Wernham) and Jason (Alfie Browne-Sykes), arrived in the fateful village of Hollyoaks last month, and it wasn’t long before at least half of them were up to no good!

Fans of Coronation Street star Michael Le Vell – who plays the role of mechanic Kevin Webster – will know that yet again, he’s enduring an annus horribilis as he awaits trial over allegations that he raped and sexually abused an under-age girl…
And though the case was originally dropped by the CPS last year, it was reopened following a review and after there was considered to be “sufficient evidence” to warrant seeking a prosecution.
Since the ugly matter first came to light in 2011, Michael and his wife Jeanette separated – though it’s understood it was nothing to do with the allegations made against him – and he was suspended from Coronation Street pending the outcome of the trial. Read more & comment »

When Samantha Womack left EastEnders two years ago – at the climax of the cot death and baby swap storyline which saw her character Ronnie Branning imprisoned – it was under something of a cloud given that Samantha had found the plotline “stressful and emotional.”
Poor Samantha was even harangued in the street while out with her husband and children by fans who evidently can’t tell the difference between reality and fantasy, and all in all, after quitting the show to star in a musical, Samantha said she had no regrets about leaving the BBC soap.
However, it’s been revealed today that Samantha is in fact coming back to the show to reprise her role as Ronnie, who, as viewers will know, has recently been freed from prison. Read more & comment »

Young Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) is of course currently living with her dad in his flat over the shop, which, though it’s a situation her mum Anna (Debbie Rush) isn’t happy with, Faye is very happy with, which is of course why Anna agreed to it in the first place…
