Vampire Diaries: Nina Dobrev posts of unconditional love whilst Ian Somerhalder tweets his shock at co-star Shannon Guess’ arrest over president ricin-laced letter!

Following her split with her Vampire Diaries co-star, Ian Somerhalder last month, it would seem that Nina Dobrev has found love of the unconditional kind – with her pet cat!

Dobrev, whose Vampire dairies producer revealed earlier this week would be engaging in romantic scenes with her ex in the new series of the hit US supernatural show, has revealed on WhoSay how her pet cat called Kid has been helping her pack for a mystery trip away.

Posting a picture of the feline sitting in her suitcase, Dobrev commented:

“Kid is helping me pack… Said I should bring my @gentsco hat,”
Followed by:

“I think he wants me to bring him too… Won’t leave the suitcase! #unconditionallove #reciprocated”

It was revealed earlier this week by Vampire Diaries executive producer that Dobrev and Somerhalder’s characters would start a “new relationship” and “try to make it work” in the new series as well as adding that there is a “villain in the midst they don’t know is a villain at the beginning.”

Meanwhile, Dobrev’s ex, Ian Somerhalder, has ONLY just learned that his former Vampire dairies co-star, Shannon Guess was arrested for sending ricin-laced letters to both President Barack Obama and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a story which hit the media almost a week ago.

Shannon Richardson (Guess) was arrested on June 7, 2013 for alleged connections with ricin-laced letters sent to politicians including President Barack Obama and New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg. She was charged with ″mailing a threatening letter to President Barack Obama″. On June 6, she confessed that she had mailed the three letters, knowing they contained ricin, but claimed her husband made her do it.

And Ian was blissfully unaware of the whole sorry matter, despite the front page of New York Face showing a picture of Shannon with HIM, along with the headline: “Actress busted for Mike, Bam ricin mail — VAMPIRE’S POISON!”

Quick (well, for him anyway) to make sure that the world knew that he did not approve, or that he had anything to do with the bizarre crimes, Somerhalder took to social networking site Twitter to clear his name, posting a picture of the front cover of the publication along with the caption:

“B-WTF?! Have I been living under a rock? How am I just finding out this is real??? Is this real? Insane! Thanks for using MY Photo NY Post, couldn’t you have used a werewolf or something?! I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS! Mayor Bloomberg and President Obama are my friends… professionalism!! xxx”
