British band The Vamps released their debut album ‘Meet The Vamps’ back on the 14th of April this year, much to the delight of their fans.

The album, which features hits including ‘Can We Dance’ and ‘Wild Heart’, has also been released across the pond in the U.S. and that’s something the band are really proud of doing.

The Vamps have had an incredible amount of success over the past year, and that looks like something that is set to continue for many years to come.

The hitmakers recently spoke with MTV News about releasing ‘Meet The Vamps’ in the USA, and frontman Brad Simpson explained that their stateside followers are very supportive.

He remarked: “I think it’s nice just to give back…

“I feel like the fans that have been supporting us in the U.S. since they’ve known us [and] have been waiting for this [album].”

Later on in the  interview with MTV the singer and guitarist went on to say: “So it’s nice to just give that music back.”

While they’re still promoting their debut release – and of course, have just released a Christmas edition that features a few covers – they’re already hard at work on their next album.

Speaking with Digital Spy the band confessed that they’re trying something different with their sound, and it’s not that fans might expect to hear.

“We did 12 songs in a short period of time. We’ve been trying out so many different things…

“We’re going to wait and see what we get back and see how it is,” they explained.

They also revealed that ‘Rude’ by Magic has been an inspiration for a few of them, but whether or not that was a vibe that stuck, we’ll need to wait and see!

However, they added: “I think it’s good for us to just try everything…

“We have until March to hone in on exactly what we want. Then there were a few [tracks] which were more like the Police kind of vibe, which would be good for the second album.”

Interesting, right!
