It’s the end of an era! Vera Duckworth will die tonight, after spending the last 34 years of her life living on the nations favourite, Coronation Street.
Although Corrie bosses have kept the circumstances surrounding Vera’s death s closely guarded secret, we do know that during tonight’s double bill, we can expect emotional scenes in which husband Jack watches as the funeral directors move Vera’s body from the house.
Bill Tarney who plays Jack commented:
“Liz is a wonderful woman. I have worked with her for 29 years and we have never had a cross word.
“During that time I have probably seen more of her than her husband Don. She was a joy to work with and one of the funniest people I know.
“She only left a few weeks ago but already I miss walking on set and seeing her there. I miss working with her – we all do.”
