After winning the award last year, Lea, who was also nominated for the Candies Choice Style Icon award, gave a tearful speech and dedicated her surfboard to her late boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith, who passed away from an accidental drug overdose the month prior.

It certainly looks like Lea’s got a busy summer ahead of her. In addition to an expected Teen Choice Awards appearance, the star will also visiting the Cittadella del Cinema in Giffoni Valle Piana, Italy to kick-off the Giffoni Experience 2014 on July 20th. Lea has made no secret of her strong Italian heritage, revealing in a recent interview with Chelsea Handler that her big Italian family let her drink wine from a young age.

The festival, which runs from July 18th-27th, is aimed primarily at young film makers and features a jury made up “exclusively of young people”, which is perfect for the 27 year old who plays Rachel Berry on the FOX’s Glee.

But that’s not all the busy star has in the works. Lea recently announced plans to write a sequel to her New York Time Best Selling book ‘Brunette Ambition’, as well as hinting at plans for an international tour in support of her debut album ‘Louder’. All that, and the show that made her a superstar is set to return for its sixth and final season in early 2015.
