What’s On TV Tonight ~ Friday 10th October

Friday again! That seemed to come round very fast, thankfully. So the weekend starts here and I’m especially looking forward to the Secret Policeman’s Ball which is on tonight at 10.50pm.

Here’s what else is worth a look tonight…

Will & Grace, Living, 7pm ~ Bacon and Eggs: This is one of the funniest episodes of Will & Grace and is immediately followed by another. Sally and Kevin are astonished to receive a postcard from Rosie and Nina warns Dev to stop seeing Tara. Meanwhile, Becky’s arrested in connection with her drunken rampage but she rapidly comes up with an alibi. Second episode is on at 8.30pm.

DIY Diagnosis: Tonight, ITV1, 8pm ~ Home medical test kits are now freely available on the high street and the internet for us to check our own health, from cholesterol levels to liver function. Ginny Buckley examines how reliable they are by comparing results with those a doctor would receive from a conventional laboratory.

Police Interceptors, Five, 8pm ~ New series that follows the work of a high-speed police interception unit in Essex. Tonight, a pair of knife-wielding criminals driving a stolen vehicle are pursued by the team and the number plate on a drug dealer’s car flashes up on the police radar, leading to a risky interception.

Eastenders, BBC1, 8pm ~ Tony wastes no time manipulating Whitney into keeping their secret as she prepares to go on holiday with Bianca. Christian introduces Lee to Jane and Roxy but is offput when he’s rude to them. Archie sets light to the letter Ronnie had written to Joel, claiming he’s always had to make the right decisions for her. Elsewhere, Garry asks Dawn to live with him, Peggy tries to get back in Archie’s good books and Stacey’s worried about what’s upsetting Danielle.

Wire In The Blood, ITV1, 9pm ~ From the Defeated - Part One: Tony becomes involved in a bizarre string of murders in which each perpetrator in turn becomes the next victim but the unusual modus operandi of beating, strangulation and shooting - always with the same gun - remains the same. Completely caught up in the case, he fails to pick up dark hints from cannibal Michael, whom he helped to convict, that he is planning to escape from the secure unit where he’s held.

At Home With The Hatton’s, Sky 2, 9pm ~ Ricky Hatton: The Fightback –Documentary which takes an insight into the world of Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton as he trains for his homecoming fight against Juan Lazcano at Manchester Stadium.

The first episode pits Martine McCutcheon, Jessie Wallace, Todd Carty and Joe Swash against Julie Goodyear, Ian Reddington, Sally Lindsay and Bruce Jones.

Once Upon A Time In America, Film Four, 10.45pm
~ This was Sergio Leone’s final film and is an acclaimed and shockingly violent epic which stars Robert De Niro in the lead role of New York gangster Noodles. He returns to his old haunts in the 1960s which prompts him to look back on his own – and his friends – rise through Manhattan’s underworld during the Depression and the Prohibition era. James Woods, Elizabeth McGovern, Tuesday Weld, Treat Williams, Joe Pesci and Burt Young co-star.
