Yet again, football takes over the primetime slot on ITV1 which is exceptionally annoying, however, there’s plenty of great programming on the other channels so let’s take a look at what we recommend you watch tonight…

Nature Shock, Five, 8pm ~ The Flesh-Eating River Monster: An investigation into a series of unexplained and rather gruesome drownings in a North Indian river where swimmers appear to have been gripped in the jaws of an unidentified animal. In America, Dawn visits a town populated entirely by polygamists, and encounters a family hiding in the wilderness while the husband roams the country in search of a third wife.

Born Survivor: Bear Grylls, Discovery Channel, 10pm ~ Sumatra: Former Special Forces adventurer – and some might say nutter – Bear Grylls demonstrates how to survive in the world’s most extreme environments. Tonight, Bear ventures into the lush jungles of Sumatra, home to tigers, bears and rare orangutans.
