‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ author EL James revealed the names of the two stars who would be taking on the roles from her world famous book earlier tonight.

The author of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ which has now sold 70 million copies worldwide told the world that Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson would take on the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the movie which is set to be released in August of 2014.

However, according to American novelist Bret Easton Ellis, Charlie Hunnam wasn’t EL James’ first choice.

Author of the book ‘American Psycho’ revealed that over the summer he spoke with the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ creator and she shared her preferences for who she wanted to take the lead role of Christian Grey.

Following the series of tweets where EL James revealed Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, Bret Easton Ellis also took to Twitter and said:

As we shared with you earlier, here is a brief summary of what ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ is all about if you’ve been living under a rock the past few years.

When literature student Anastasia Steele interviews successful entrepreneur Christian Grey, she finds him very attractive and deeply intimidating. Convinced that their meeting went badly, she tries to put him out of her mind – until he turns up at the store where she works part-time, and invites her out.

Unworldly and innocent, Ana is shocked to find she wants this man. And, when he warns her to keep her distance, it only makes her want him more.

But Grey is tormented by inner demons, and consumed by the need to control. As they embark on a passionate love affair, Ana discovers more about her own desires, as well as the dark secrets Grey keeps hidden away from public view.”
