In today’s online edition of The Sun’s TV Biz, the paper is running a poll asking which of Doctor Who’s companions is “the sexiest” out of five contenders…

So is it Amy Pond, Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, Donna Noble or new sidekick, Clara Oswin?

We of course briefly met Clara (Jenna Louise Coleman) in the debut episode of series seven which aired on Saturday, which came as a pleasant surprise since we had thought that Clara would be introduced in the Christmas special.

You can click here to go vote in the Sun’s poll, but I figured we might have one of our own here – via the comments box – to see which of these lovely ladies you guys find the hottest!

Amy, who’s played by Karen Gillan, is of course still featuring on the show, but she will make her departure during this series…

Rose Tyler, who was played by Billie Piper, reigned as sidekick from 2005 – when the show returned to our screens after a 16-year break – to 2006, although Rose made a temporary return late in the fourth series.

On now to Martha, who was played by Freema Agyeman. The character of Martha was developed initially with the intention of having her appear for the entirety of the 2007 series, and to later make guest appearances, however, due to Freema having “other commitments” Martha’s storylines were cut back.

And finally, Donna Noble, who was played by comedienne Catherine Tate. She was the tenth doctor’s companion who appeared in the final episode of the 2006 series which led into the show’s second Christmas special, entitled, The Runaway Bride.

Although I guess Donna may not have been the sexiest, she was certainly the most fun sidekick ever! In my opinion that is, but what’s yours?
