Now I know that this post comes a little late. Most of you have loved Grey’s for years and years and here I am a new convert who just started watching the show six weeks ago.

However in those six weeks Grey’s has become a bit of an addiction if not obsession for me, as I recorded the second and third series on a daily basis while it aired on daytime LIVING and once a week try to keep up with series 4.

So much do I love the show that I have already become hooked on it’s spinoff series, Private Practice, which was the sole cause of my red and raw eyes at nine o’clock this morning as I wept over people who were caught up in an infant baby swap.

So here are the top 10 things I love about Grey’s Anatomy, I would love to hear yours in the comments section below!

10) The constant bed hopping and intrigue surrounding each romance or potential one. How long before McSteamy beds every female in the hospital…maybe series 6?

9) Cristina Yang’s sarcastic commentary on everything. Callie is actually spot on with her caustic comments to. Go on strong women!

McDreamy’s (Derek Shephard) floppy hair. A bit of a lame reason to watch a TV show I know, but hey I’m a Hugh Grant fan. I love floppy hair.

7) George and Izzies on again, off again relationship. I love their dynamic and the fact that they are so obviously soul mates. Also George has that whole puppy dog thing going on which is kind of adorable!

6) The soundtrack. I have noticed that whoever controls the music on the show does an amazing job. The tracks are always appropriate without being overwhelming. I think one of my favourites has to be my favourites are Fools In Love by Inara George, which was used very aptly in the series for Burke and Christina.

5) That Meredith always messes up! She just never seems to get it right yet she never does anything so bad that everyone hates her for it. George forgave her for drunkenly sleeping with him and McDreamy is never done with forgiving her.

4) I love that Alex tries to be a real bad ass but during past storlylines with Izzie and ‘Eva’ (who is really Rebecca) turned out to actually be as soft as marshmallow. I really like the bad guy with a heart of gold theme, it reminds me of Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing.

3) Izzie, Cristina, and Meredith’s friendship. It reminds me of my very own girl pals and I love how they really ‘get’ each other. The scene of Meredith cutting Cristina out of her wedding dress as she discovers Burke has abandoned her is just heart wrenching but perfect.

2) McNaming! Mc Dreamy, McSteamy, McHottie, though it has to be said that my husband doesn’t like being called McPast It so much….

1) Meredith and Derek’s will they won’t they dynamic. You never quite know if they are together or not. Will they get married or not? Will one of them sleep with someone else (again!)? Keeps me right on the edge of my seat!
