Former Hollyoaks actor, Will Mellor, has described his role in the second episode of Merlin as his dream job. In the episode Mellor played evil Knight Valiant and I didn’t actually think he did the role any justice whatsoever.

“It was phenomenal, what dreams are made of,” Mellor told the Manchester Evening News. “I had a great character to play, with horse riding and sword fighting in a stunning setting.”

However the high temperatures in Paris posed a problem during filming for Mellor due to his bulky costume.

“It was very hot in the chainmail and armour and I got a little bit bumped about, but it all felt part of it,” he said. “At the end of the day I felt like I’d done a day’s work.”

“As an actor, there’s not many days you go home and feel like you’ve done a day’s work, because often you’re sat about most of the day.”
