Will you vote for Doctor Who’s David Tennant or Sherlock’s Benedict Cumberbatch in BBC’s Anglo Fan Favorites: Men Of 2012?

BBC America’s Anglo Fan Favorites: Men Of 2012 competition has reached it’s quarter final stage and in it, Doctor Who’s David Tennant and Sherlock’s Benedict Cumberbatch are going head to head.

In the last round, Scottish actor Tennant – most famous for his portrayal of the titular timelord in BBC’s Doctor Who until 2010 – received more votes than his sci fi successor Matt Smith and knocked the younger star out of the running.

However, Benedict’s star is on the rise stateside and after being cast in a number of A list Hollywood movies this year, the handsome British actor managed to beat Twilight’s Robert Pattinson in a previous stage of the contest.

In 2011, David beat Cumberbatch to third place in the poll, however it’s fair to say that the Sherlock star has seen his profile increase massively over the last twelve months and this time round, things might not be so cut and dry.

In fact, as it stands now, Benedict has attracted 52.23% of the public vote, while Tennant has brought in 47.77%.

You can cast your vote for either man on the BBC America official website and tell us in the comments section below, who you are backing and why…

We’re a little bit torn ourselves!
