The Daily Mail is offering all you Life On Mars fans a chance to win the classic car used in the filming of the show, a Ford Cortina.

Star of Life On Mars, John Simms spoke fondly of the car, saying:

“The Cortina has become an icon and I think Life On Mars has helped to make the car cool again,” says co-star Glenister.

“I love that car, so whoever wins it had better look after it. I had hoped to get it when we finished filming.

“I loved all my scenes with the car, not just because I got to perform handbrake turns and skid around corners – although with no power-assisted steering that was tough going – but because it also meant I didn’t have to learn so many lines.”
