Jack and the team search for a missing emergency services switchboard operator, Jessica Lawson. The investigation soon reveals that, as well as being called by someone who threatened to kill her for interfering with his life, Jessica was accosted by a man whose wife died while he was seeking Jessica’s help on a 911 line.
And, although Jessica didn’t report the incident to the police, the team learns that, before she vanished, someone broke into her apartment and killed her dog.
