Zoe Lucker has joined the cast of BBC soap Eastenders.

The former Footballers’ Wives star will reportedly play a glamourous businesswoman named Vanessa, who sets out to win the heart of Max Branning.

Eastenders executive producer Bryan Kirkwood told The News Of The World: “Zoe is perfect for the role.

“The character is a strong, confident force of nature who will play Max at his own game.”

Zoe, added: “I’m a huge fan of the show and I’m really looking forward to working with Jake. I can’t wait to get started.”

It was earlier revealed that Zoe’s former co-star Laila Rouass has also signed to the BBC. She will be joining the cast of Spooks.
